Clothing is how the Apprentice can customize their own appearance, and (by giving items to others), even control, to some extent, how their Residents look. Everything but the Apprentice's skin tone, eye colour, gender and shape can be altered via clothing options.
There are several different categories of clothing and accessories the Apprentice can wear. These items are found as rare rewards from Chests, completing Requests or Goals, or by purchasing them from some of the stores the Apprentice builds in their Towns.
Contacts
Contacts change the shape or appearance of the pupil, but not the colour of the iris, and can be used by the Apprentice or Residents. They cannot be given to Veiled Residents. Like other clothing items, Contacts can be removed or replaced without consuming the original, unless it is given to a Resident. They can be found as purchasable rewards from the Festival traders, or from Lucky Boxes, or as rare drops from Chests. The most common source, however, is as a reward for completing Requests from Residents.

Clothes
Clothes come in a wide variety of styles, though the colour palette is limited. Clothes cannot be given to Veiled Residents. Like other clothing items, Tops and Bottoms can be removed or replaced without consuming the original, unless it is given to a Resident. Clothing can be found as purchasable rewards from the Festival traders, or from Lucky Boxes, or as rare drops from Chests. These items can also be purchased from the Tailor shop.
The base clothing with no items is a beige tank top with stitching at the sternum, and a darker set of boxer brief shorts with a triangle-patterned waistband. Some clothing items will replace the base clothing, others will overlap, creating an awkward seam.

Glasses
Glasses are used to change the Apprentice's or Resident's appearance and are worn on the face. Glasses cannot be given to Veiled Residents. Like other clothing items, they can be removed or replaced without consuming the original, unless it is given to a Resident. Glasses can be found as purchasable rewards from the Festival traders, or from Lucky Boxes, or as rare drops from Chests. They can also be purchased from the Tailor Shop, but the most common source is as a reward for completing Resident Requests.
- Note that the Deal with It Glasses can never be found as a random drop or purchase, only from a chest hidden in a secret area, thus the Apprentice can only ever have one of them.
